When released, Far Cry was broking every possible technological records. In 2004, FC bit Carmack's Doom 3 and - according to some people - even "untouchable" Half-Life 2. Yeah, in the shadows of these strong and well-hyped products its sales weren't too gorgeous, but release as freeware after thin 3 years? The publishers are surprisingly generous from time to time...
