Tribes 2

Tribes 2 is a continuation of preferred multi-player on-line FPS action game Star-siege: Tribes and it brings everything you have loved on first episode better and bigger. This series was formerly made for retail market, however everything has changed and publishing company Sierra offered this episode as free-ware too.
This is uncensored complete version with bonus content made by community. There are two new game mods and 32 new maps. The story is of marginal importance, so just a quick refresher for those of you, who are new to the series. There are tribes of people, however in a future with high tech gear. These tribes wage war for resources and other stuff across whole universe on various planets. You will visit a hot jungle, or frozen moon. There is also alien race called Bioderms, who gather fallen humans and use them for production of plasmids to enhance own warriors. This race is playable in multi-player, however does not bring any advantage. You can meet Bioderms in single player training campaign, where they offer target practice with enhanced AI.
What makes Tribes special is a tactical warfare. You can use command circuit to issue commands, send scouts and much more. It provides overview of entire battlefield. Next are various vehicles. For example Shriek Turbograv, which is a kind of anti gravitation jet. The vehicles are usable and you are encouraged to do so. Voice communication between players is commonplace.
Graphics is still very good and compared to free ware standards, it is excellent. Sound is fine and creates excellent atmosphere. Download and do not forget multi-player patch. See you in game!
