Wargaming takes our attention all the time. With its World of Tanks they reached the highest positions in the MMO world and they are taking us into the clouds and air with their World of Planes which is in the Closed beta now. With the very similar game it feels like no big difference from the tanks but you have to count with the new dimension. The armored vehicles weren’t really able to change altitude and flight level. However, Wargaming keeps the same action and gaming principle and only continues in the army evolution by improving it.



Two groups of player face each other as it is in World of Tanks, their grouping and position is done by chance or the clans can form into squadrons going into war with another clan. The fight takes place in the clouds of several maps but with no take of or landing. It’s only good for the immediate action. Is there something new? Yes, the bases are taken away and ground targets arrived. Destroying them gives you superiority in the air and if you reach 100 % your side wins. The destruction of all enemy planes leads to victory as usually.



If you remember well the WoT tanks were separated into three classes. Tanks, Tank destroyers and SPG differ in many aspects and the same thing can be said about the warplanes. World of Warplanes is about Fighters (dog-fighting fun), Heavy Fighters( you do not want to face them head to head combat) and Ground-attack planes (better known as bombers). All classes are needed in the battles making each role meaningful.

Wargaming is still improvng its graphics and promises are coming true. The Closed Beta offers few maps with more coming in the future. The variety is again striking with different terrain and buildings according the map setting.

When a pilot doesn’t fly he moves into the hangar where he has the planes nicely parked to improve and repair them. The nations appearing are USA, Russia and Germany and you get planes from late 30s to experimental jet-fighters. To make some improvements, research and unlocking new machines you need experience points and money as in WoT. They are gained after every battle according your stats and achievements. The more active and better pilot the more things you can buy.



Z World of Warplanes vám toho zatím nemůžeme moc ukázat, respektive pouze oficiální screenshoty, ale ty nejsou moc daleko od pravdy. World of Warplanes je stále v pozici testování tisíci hráči v Closed Betě, určitě jste možná slyšeli o menší nespokojenosti s ovládáním, ale právě kvůli tomu různé CBT jsou. Co Wargaming sliboval, tedy vtažení fanoušků do jejich první hry i do vzduchu, bylo zatím splněno, můžu jenom říct – .

We cannot show you too much from World of Warplanes and the only screenshots can be the official but no lies are in the fact that there is no difference between them and the game itself. World of Warplanes is still tested in Closed Beta and you may have heard about some responses in uncomfortable control of the planes but that’s why CBT exists. The promises made by Wargaming came true and the players get what they wanted and I can only recommend you – go and play the beta.

Those who entered the action war MMO only some time ago should try World of Tanks ad first, have a look at our review as well. The third war gaming will be World of Warships but for this we have to wait a bit longer, it’s still in the alpha.
