Imagine a knight who must overcome obstacles and defeat monsters. Begin with collecting the right equipment - spells, potions, axes, arrows, money. All things you found can be put into a grid to combine them. When you are done equip your hero with things you find important. Before every level you can see what monster you are going to face and their weaknesses and strengths. Then you see if you strategy is correct.
