WinKec
Software similar to this one is widely available. Remember Pokec by LexCom, on line Ludvik by Gekon Systems, legendary Pokyd and IQ Pokyd by KyblSoft, Kecal by Martin Grames, Computer Chat by Mega Software, Billy by Greg Leedberg, Sedliak by Aific, Talker by Herbie-Soft, Speaker by Daniel Vojtech, SimKlaus by DanielSoft, or Joys Chat by Joy-Wood Studios.
All these programs are designed to simulate interview and the one presented here, made by Jarek Polakovic is not different. When you fire it up , you have to set up various data about yourself and your machine, names and behavior. And then you can start to chat. You write a sentence and computer writes an answer. WinKec offers various options to be set on the fly. You can choose from selection of behaviors. For example machine, calm, happy, shy, moody, sarcastic, angry and so on. Then you can set level of knowledge. Nothing at all, a little, average, high and genius. You can also arrange looks. There are three motives of clouds around chat window. You can set on or off text animation.
But there are also some unpleasant moments similar to others from this group. The thing is that conversation is not very sophisticated. It supposedly works by finding key words in the sentence you have written and selects appropriate answer from database, but the algorithm is weak.
Anyway, I still think Winkec is able to amuse you so download and play.
