About the Puzzles

There are four versions of this puzzle. The number at the end of the file name indicates how many pieces are in the puzzle and therefore the difficulty in solving the puzzle. The 30 piece puzzle should be easy enough even for the younger players. The 80 piece puzzle is great for those that want just a little more challenge but don't want to overtax their brain. The 160 piece puzzle is geared for those with a little more patience and time on their hands. And finally, the 320 piece puzzle is best left to the expert puzzle solvers who need a real challenge.

The puzzles are totally free and you may give them to your friends, share them over file sharing networks, upload them to freeware sites or distribute them by any means you like as long as you do not sell them. Please only share the complete set of puzzles and documentation as downloaded in the original archive.

How to Play

Choose the puzzle you wish to play and double-click on the executable file. You can click and move the pieces with your mouse. You can either hold the mouse button while you move the piece and release it to place it or you can click once, move the piece and click again to drop the piece. The later method is very handy for those using a laptop or other computer with a touchpad.

When you place two pieces together that fit, they will click and lock together. You can move sets of locked pieces as if they were a single piece. You can rotate the pieces by right-clicking after your left-click and release. However, this set of puzzles always starts with all the pieces in the correct rotational orientation. You can also draw a rectangle on the playing surface and that will select all the pieces in that area. That comes in handy when you want to move several pieces out of the way.

You will notice there is a small window with a picture of the completed puzzle. You can use the buttons at the bottom of that window to change the size of the picture. You can also use the controls at the top of the window to minimize it to just the title bar or close it entirely. If you close the picture and want to get it back you can use the picture choice on the menu.

If you want to minimize the game so you can see your desktop you can use the minimize menu item or the arrow at the upper right. To maximize it again just click on the proper item on your taskbar.

There is no off switch or volume control for the music. If you want to control the music, you will need to use your soundcard or speaker controls.

When you are finished playing just click the exit item on the menu. You are not asked for confirmation and it does not save your current game position, so please be sure your really want to quit before clicking exit.
